tea...vital to any illustrator

So, a real teabag seems to be a bit.of a rare occurance in France, as does a decent sized mug (see the red and white one in comparison),

So massive thanks to the hotels minibus driver Steve for bagging me a decent drinking vessel.

Had a bit of a doodle on it too, just couldn't resist!

escape!

So, I managed to get myself a job in a hotel in the ski resort of le deux alpes for a month.
I will be working full time and spending half my wages on lift passes for my days off :)

now the whole time I'm there the only computing power or internet access I will have is through my smartphone (if I happen to be in any WiFi range)
So I think this as good time as any to get back to me roots,
as someone who has come to rely on the power of photoshop and digital image making/editing/references this will be a chance to get away from the pressure of making 'finished' pieces, a chance to just create for creations sake and draw/paint as my main form of evenings entertainment,

I am taking with me:

watercolours, coloured pencils, various sketchbooks/loose paper and the contents of my pencil case.

so yeah, stay tuned for blurry phone camera pictures of random doodles, hopefully every day or two :)
